After months of tensions and clashes, it seems that Drake and Future finally buried the hatchet. The two reportedly recently had a phone conversation to end their dispute.
According to journalist Elliott Wilson in his podcast “The Bigger Picture”, this quickly went around the web: “All I can say is they called each other and whatever the issue was between the two, they seem to have resolved it. Metro is not included.”
It would seem that Young Thug played a crucial role in this reconciliation. The rapper, who has just been free, launched a call for unity on social networks, directly calling out Drake, Future and Metro Boomin: “@Drake @1future @MetroBoomin we are all brothers. Music is not the same without our collaborations”wrote Thug on X
The falling out between Drake and Future dates back to March 2024, following the release of the album “We Don’t Trust You” de Future et Metro Boomin. This album contained several attacks against Drake, notably in the song “Like That” en featuring avec Kendrick Lamar. Tensions then intensified with the release of a second album, “We Still Don't Trust You”, where other artists like A$AP Rocky and The Weeknd also took part in the conflict.
