A sweet melancholy in its raw state. By presenting the clip for his title “Come pick me up”, Ninon left no one indifferent at the Rocklab in Esch-Belval. A 23-year-old Franco-Luxembourger, based in Bertrange, Ninon Varin distinguished herself by winning the 2023 edition of the Screaming Fields Song Contest.
“This song tells a story where I talk about my feelings for someone,” she summarizes. “This person has feelings for me too, but we can’t make things work. The message is: ‘Come on, we can just have fun, it doesn’t have to be complicated’.
“Discovering the clip on the big screen was so cool,” says the film student in Brussels. “Especially in the presence of the entire team that participated in this project. I even saw my father cry. I am so happy with the result. The objective? Allow my career to grow.
Is the next qualification for Eurovision a goal? “I think about it, even if it’s not really my style of music. Maybe. This remains an option, “The Voice” too,” recognizes Ninon.
