On Monday April 22, around 5:30 a.m., Kendji Girac suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was then rushed to Bordeaux hospital where his life was at risk. While an investigation into intentional homicide was opened, Kendji Girac revealed that he had simulated a suicide attempt after an argument with his wife Soraya Miranda, the mother of his daughter Eva Alba. Almost two weeks after this incident, the young woman broke her silence this Sunday, May 5 in an interview with Parisian where she gave news of the artist: “Kendji is like someone who came close to death, He is now recovering, it will take time. He is very tired, he is slowly recovering (…) He is better and I am extremely relieved”, she declared.

While rumors said that Soraya Miranda left France with her daughter just after the tragedy and her hearing by investigators, Kendji Girac’s partner wanted to make things clear: “I was in the hospital with him, and I stayed by his side the whole time. Since leaving the hospital, we have been together with our daughter, obviously (…) The three of us need to be together as a family. How could anyone say that I had left France with our daughter? I don’t understand how such information could have been published.“, she lamented.
