All fans of Star Wars impatiently waiting The Mandalorian & Grogu which will serve as a conclusion to the excellent series The Mandalorian. At the moment, we don’t yet know much about the plot of the film, even if some new elements have just reached us.
The Mandalorian & Grogu : grosse hype
Waited for the May 20, 2026 in French theaters, The Mandalorian & Grogu will be the next major cinematographic event of the license Star Wars. The film will follow the events of the series The Mandalorian. Jon Favreau is back behind the camera, while Pedro Pascal will once again slip under the Mandalorian’s armor. The story should serve as a conclusion to the story of Din Djarin and little Grogu.
At the moment, we don’t yet know much about this big meeting. We know that Sigourney Weaver will be in the casting, in a role still kept secret. And we know that Route the Hutts will play an important role in the plot. For the occasion, the actor Jeremy Allen White will voice the character.
New elements
Rotta, the son of Jabba the Huttintroduced in the series The Clone Wars will therefore make its comeback, for the first time in live action. Recently, the site Bespin Bulletin has just released some new elements concerning The Mandalorian & Grogu. According to the American media, Rotta will be a gladiator in Jon Favreau’s film. As an adult, Rotta will have a darker design than in The Clone Warsand should bear battle scars on his face and body. The site adds that Embo will be one of the main antagonists of the story.

Embo is a secondary character in the series The Clone Wars. A bounty hunter, he appears in some key episodes of the series, notably alongside Cad Bane. It is recognizable thanks to its huge hatwhich serves as his weapon and shield. Native to the planet Phatrong he is a violent character, appreciated by fans of the animated series Dave Filoni. Apparently, Embo would be hired by the Hutt to prevent Din Djarin from capturing Rotta:
Din Djarin will be hired to capture Rotta. Apparently, The New Republic would be behind this contract through the character of Sigourney Weaver.
It would therefore seem that The Mandalorian & Grogu will resonate a lot with the series The Clone Wars. It has now been several years since Lucasfilm connects its live action productions to old animated series Star Wars. The proof with Ahsoka which serves as a sequel to the excellent series Star Wars Rebels. The Mandalorian & Grogu should therefore serve as a bridge with The Clone Wars.
