For those involved in organic farming, this is incomprehension. The State is preparing to abolish the French Agency for the Development and Promotion of Organic Agriculture, more commonly known as: the Organic Agency.
-An amendment has already been voted on by the Senate less than a week ago, to which Annie Genevard, the Minister of Agriculture, gave her benevolent agreement, known as “opinion of wisdom”. It must now go to a joint committee.
Stéphanie Maertens, president of Bio Normandie, does not understand this decision “which doesn't seem to bother anyone.” Since the vote on this amendment, the organic sectors have been getting organized. They are running a platform on the internet, already validated by more than a thousand signatories, throughout France.
