The State Secretariat for Training, Research and Innovation (SERI) has updated the list of vocational training offers. From this year, it is possible to follow training as an employee in AFP system restoration and as a specialist in orthopedic shoe technology with a federal certificate. On the other hand, other training courses are disappearing, such as those of master violin maker or master marble maker.

SERI has approved or enacted the requirements relating to 33 revised or newly created professions, i.e. 13 at the level of initial professional training and 20 at the level of higher professional training, it indicated on Thursday. In addition, the requirements relating to eight higher vocational training professions have been repealed.

The Federal Department of Economic Affairs (DEFR) has also decided to make access to a university of applied sciences qualification and development opportunities in the field of nursing more flexible. This measure aims to increase the attractiveness of professions in the field of nursing.
