An agricultural building on fire in Monclar-d'Armagnac

On Wednesday January 15, firefighters were mobilized in the town of Monclar-d'Armagnac to fight a fire which ravaged an agricultural building being renovated.

On Wednesday January 15, a violent fire broke out in an agricultural building undergoing rehabilitation in Monclar-d'Armagnac, in Gers. The flames quickly engulfed this 400 m² structure, dedicated to livestock, despite the efforts of firefighters to limit the damage.

Significant mobilization of relief

As soon as the alert was given, 21 firefighters from the fire and rescue centers of Aignan, Castelnau-d'Auzan, Cazaubon, Eauze, Le Houga and Nogaro were mobilized. To control the fire, the teams deployed a large device including four nozzles, one of which was positioned on an aerial means.

Despite their rapid and coordinated intervention, the building was completely destroyed by the flames.

An investigation to determine the causes

The circumstances of this fire remain unknown at this time. An investigation will be carried out to establish the origins of the disaster.
