On Reddit, user IrisCZ analyzes the fight between the two witches, and describes the situation as being the only one where Molly Weasley could hope to win against Bellatrix Lestrange.
Bellatrix lost her wand during the Battle of the Manor. And that makes his death even more deserved. She should have known she wasn’t in her full control, and yet she willingly faced an angry person after losing her own son, willing to sacrifice her own life to save her daughter and others children. Bellatrix should have known she didn’t have a full-powered wandbut she apparently didn’t give a second thought to her ability to defeat someone she considered inferior.
Bellatrix Lestrange would therefore have preached out of pride, and it would be the certainty of winning against Molly Weasley who would have paradoxically signed her death warrant.
