Every year, it's the same thing: the week between Christmas and New Year's is a little weird, almost “out of time”. We eat leftovers while watching Christmas movies while waiting to officially celebrate the end of this year. This is the perfect opportunity to visit theaters one last time before 2025.
Despite this rather slack period, this week's film news is richer than one might think. Enough to end the year with dignity. Like every weekend, we have scoured the box office to offer you a selection of 4 films to see in cinemas.
Nosferatu

With its 5-star cast, the new film by Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse ; The Witch) is the big release this week. On display? Lily-Rose Depp (The Idol), Nicholas Hoult (Juror #2), Willem Dafoe (Poor Creatures), Bill Skarsgård (That), Emma Corrin (The Crown) or Aaron Taylor-Johnson (we can forgive him Kraven the Hunter).
If you want to thrill to end the year in style, you will be served with this reinterpretation of an iconic gothic fable which left its mark on cinema in 1922. Nosferatuit is the story of a tormented young woman and a terrifying vampire who succumbed to her charm. But obviously, this “idyll” will not be without consequences…
With this remake, Robert Eggers reappropriates this emblematic myth by adding his touch and an ounce of modernity. Visually and aesthetically, Nosferatu is remarkable. The actors are all excellent and the storyline is fascinating. The press gives it a rating of 3.3 out of 5 while AlloCiné spectators are a little more excited with the average of 3.5.
Sonic 3
Never two without three. After two relatively popular first films, the blue hedgehog is back in Sonic 3. If the press is quite cautious with the rating of 2.7 out of 5, AlloCiné spectators are rather convinced with the average of 3.9 out of 5.
Without revolutionizing the genre and despite its flaws, Sonic 3 stands out as good entertainment to discover with the family at the end of the year. For this third opus, Paramount and Sega finally understood that it could embrace the slightly corny humor of its saga and that is always positive.
Pretty, pretty
For fans of musicals and more particularly of works by Jacques Demy like The umbrellas of Cherbourg, Pretty, pretty is the perfect film. Funny, touching, catchy, that's how to describe this new film. Pretty, pretty takes us from Paris to Rome in the 70s when the destiny of a broke writer collides with that of a rising film star. Pitfalls, misunderstandings and twists and turns… Their love story will be far from simple!
Worn by William Lebghil and Clara Luciani, with Laura Felpin and José Garcia, Pretty, pretty is a sweet break that feels good during this festive period. The press and AlloCiné spectators agree on the rating of 3.3 out of 5.
My Sunshine
When winter arrives on the island of Hokkaido, boys play ice hockey and girls go figure skating. Young Takuya only has eyes for Sakura, freshly arrived from Tokyo, when she rehearses her figure skating routines. When he clumsily tries to imitate her, the young girl's coach suggests they skate as a duo for an upcoming competition. But this is certainly not to everyone's taste.
To the Billy Elliot, My Sunshine is of infinite sweetness which warms hearts while pointing out societal injunctions. Delicate and subtle, My Sunshine touched the press (3.5/5) and AlloCiné spectators (4.2/5). Ideal to end the year well.
