Shyly welcomed into French cinemas just a few weeks ago, the animated film The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim already coming to streaming: Warner Bros. has actually announced its availability, as of today, on various legal platforms including Prime Video and Apple TV.
Remember that the feature film arrives in Japan only today, after being released on December 13 in the United States, and from December 11 internationally (including in France).
Featuring Peter Jackson himself as executive producer, this Japanese-American co-production from Warner Bros. Studios. Pictures and Sola Digital Art is produced by the great Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East, Ultraman…). It is a prequel set 183 years before the events of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
The story:
This new chapter, set 183 years before the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, explores the history of the House of Helm Hammerfist, king of Rohan. Faced with the sudden attack of Wulf, a vengeful and cruel lord, Helm and his people barricade themselves in the fortress of Hornburg, renamed Helm's Deep. In this desperate struggle, Hera, Helm's daughter, must muster the courage to lead the resistance against an enemy determined to destroy her people.
