Canadian actor Keanu Reeves He lent his voice to Shadow, the villain of “Sonic 3,” the new installment of the popular saga based on Sega video games. The film, directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller and John Whittington, will hit theaters this Friday the 20th with a message focused on family, friendship and kindness.
Reeves expressed his excitement about joining the project after enjoying the previous two films. “I liked the production values, the performances and the energy that the films convey; “They have good artistic intentions.”he commented in an interview from London for EFE.

The actor described Shadow as a complex character, with an emotional background marked by the loss of María, the only person who loved him, and highlighted how that story gave depth to his interpretation.
The plot follows Team Sonic (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles) on an urgent mission to confront the threat of Shadow. Meanwhile, her family dynamic with Tom and Maddie Wachowski (James Marsden and Tika Sumpter) evolves into a stable coexistence.

Set in Tokyo and London, this installment balances action and emotion by exploring Shadow’s past and his motivations.
Idris Elba, who reprises his role as Knuckles, highlighted his character’s evolution from a lone fighter to a committed member of the team.
