Oscar-nominated actress Felicity Jones has signed on to star in a Formula 1 drama for Amazon MGM Studios titled ‘One’. The series will mark the first major television project for Jones in a long time, after having a recurring role on the 2009 series, ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’.
The story will focus on a failing family racing team, led by Jones’ character, who will have to deal with various fierce personalities, ever-changing rivals and multi-million dollar bets. It will be executive produced by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, along with Tony To of Band of Brothers and Dan Sackheim of True Detectives, and Philippe Maigret of ITV Studios.
In addition to leading the cast, Jones will also serve as a producer alongside her brother Alexander Jones for Piecrust Pictures. Known among other roles for her participation in ‘Rogue One. A Star Wars Story‘, the actress has recently obtained a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film ‘The Brutalist‘.
Will soon be in the drama ‘Train Dreams’ with Joel Edgerton, in the Christmas comedy ‘Oh. What. Fun.’ with Michelle Pfeiffer and in the period fantasy film ‘100 Nights of Hero’based on the graphic novel by Isabel Grreenberg.
