Dakar, Dec 19 (APS) – The closing date of the call for applications for the Iba Ndiaye Djadji Art criticism prize, initially scheduled for December 20, has been extended until Monday December 30, 2024, we learned the APS of the leaders of the Senegalese Association of Art Critics (ASCA).
The deadline for submitting applications for this award has been extended by ten days.
The Iba Ndiaye Djadji art criticism prize was launched to reward the best press article on an artistic achievement In or Off linked to the 15th edition of the Biennale of Contemporary African Art in Dakar (Dak’art) , closed on December 7.
The ambition of this prize is to contribute to promoting the work of art criticism in Senegal, according to the ASCA.
It also aims to support “quality work in all areas of the visual arts”.
The criteria selected for this call for applications open to all nationalities are “the quality of the writing, the originality of the analysis, the relevance of the arguments and the clarity of thought”.
Candidates must be aged 35 or less on December 31, 2024, specify the initiators.
Two prizes will be awarded at the end of the competition. The first winner will pocket an envelope of 500,000 CFA francs. The second prize is worth 250,000 CFA francs.
