Aith 559,000 additional aficionados during its second weekend in 743 theaters, Gladiator 2, by Ridley Scott, easily retains his throne as leader and already has 1.83 million tickets sold. Status quo also in second and third places in the ranking: Love phew, shared by 4.36 million spectators, now surpasses The Great Bath, by the same Gilles Lellouche, and becomes the fifth most viewed film of 2024, ahead of Dune: part two ; while Juror #2, by Clint Eastwood, ahead Mystic River with 1.26 million entries thanks to one of the best records of the moment.

Having moved 132,000 moviegoers in just 255 theaters, The Most Valuable of Goods got off to a very good start which propelled him to fourth place nationally and even second in . Michel Hazanavicius’ feature film achieves a score almost identical to that of another animated film released at the end of October, Flow, the cat who was no longer afraid of waterof Gints Zilbalodis. The latter, which already has 368,000 entries, is now assured of finishing well over 500,000. Also gratified by excellent initial feedback from the public, The Most Valuable of Goods could follow the same route.

It’s going much less well for the feel good movie with José Garcia, The Panache, which only attracted 95,000 curious people despite a wide distribution in 499 cinemas. Same observation for the biopic Prodigious, which thrilled only 47,000 music lovers in 367 theaters. Logical modesty, finally, for the quasi-experimental closed session The Choice, by Gilles Bourdos and with Vincent Lindon, who intrigued 20,000 suspense fans on 120 screens.

On the other hand, reason for satisfaction for Rough diamond, by Agathe Riedinger, with 28,000 moviegoers in 120 theaters: this first film, selected in competition at the last Film Festival, ranked seventh in Paris, a nice result. Let’s finally highlight the good outfits of the gore film The Substance (417,000 cumulative admissions in nineteen days), from the biopic Louise Violet (520,000 admissions in nineteen days) and the Palme d’Or Anora, signed Sean Baker (500,000 entries in twenty-six days).
