RTL Belgium is proud to announce its co-production of the film “La nuit se freine”, the first feature film by Belgian director Michiel Blanchart. This nighttime thriller, shot entirely in Brussels, will be released in cinemas on September 4.

Presented at the opening of the Biarritz Film Festival – Nouvelles Vagues, “La nuit se tardive” won the Audience Award, confirming Michiel Blanchart’s talent.

Trained at the IAD, the young Brussels director had already made an impression with his short film “T’es Morte, Hélène”, which was selected on the shortlist for the Oscars in 2022 and preselected in the Best Short Film category at the 2023 Césars. Michiel Blanchart has won around thirty awards, including the Grand Prix at the Gérardmer Festival and the Méliès d’argent in Sitges.

Among the main actors, we find Jonathan Feltre, who stands out alongside Romain Duris, the French actress Natacha Krief, as well as the Belgian actors Jonas Bloquet and Thomas Mustin (Mustii). The film is produced by Michaël Goldberg and Boris Van Gils of Daylight Films, in association with QUAD Productions (Intouchables) and RTL.
