What is it about ? Victim of a conspiracy, young Edmond Dantès is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years of detention at the Château d’If, he managed to escape. Having become immensely rich, he returns under the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo to take revenge on the three men who betrayed him.
Did you know ? The Count of Monte Cristo has been the subject of around thirty transpositions on the small and big screen. The most recent is the American one from 2002 with Jim Caviezel, while Josée Dayan’s mini-series with Gérard Depardieu remains one of the most famous.

What is it about ? KINDS OF KINDNESS is a triptych fable that follows: a man without choices who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman worried because his wife who disappeared at sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a very specific person with a special power, destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.
Did you know ? Originally, the director and his co-writer Efthimis Filippou initially focused on a single story. But gradually, the idea of keeping a single thematic thread between different stories germinated in their minds to become this anthology split into three parts.

Did you know ? With The Hennedricks Family, Laurence Arné wanted to talk about family reconstitution. From there, the director wondered how we could “make a family” differently, moving away from a traditional pattern. Thinking about it, she chose to embrace the dysfunctionality:
“Which means that as an adult, we broke down the barriers of social conventions, we liberated ourselves. I myself had experienced a first family failure, I did not want to fail in the second! (laughs)”

What is it about ? Léa and Christine are obsessed with the Paul Bernardin affair, a man suspected of having killed his entire family and mysteriously disappearing. As they go to investigate the house where the killing took place, the media announce that Paul Bernardin has just been arrested in Northern Europe…
Did you know ? The four main actors, Delphine Baril, Charlotte Laemmel, Laurent Stocker and Gaëtan Peau rehearsed at length with Jean-Christophe Meurisse. The latter says: “I like to bring well-known people for a day of filming, too, like Jonathan Cohen, Vincent Dedienne or François Rollin and Romane Bohringer.”
“Delphine and Charlotte are part of my theater troupe, “Les Chiens de Navarre”, and are used to improvising, an area in which they are very good. They have very whimsical personalities, that’s what which interests me. It’s a quality shared by all the actors in the film. I always choose funny people.”

What is it about ? Éléonore drives towards the West. It breaks down in the middle of Brittany. Forced to spend some time there because the new carburetor for her car seems to never arrive, she settles into one of the mobile homes at Camping du Lac. A lake therefore, in which a monster lives. She begins to observe its inhabitants, all singular, and soon the tourists, who arrive in droves.

Did you know ? It was Takis Candilis’ agent, Laurent Grégoire, who proposed Bernard Campan to the director to play the main character: “Bernard was especially associated in my mind with Les Inconnus. I watched all his films and wanted to meet him. We got along well straight away. Bernard is a very talented actor, a lovely man and a hard worker .”
