France 3 and Wéo each finance between 15 and 20 documentaries per year

This week, discover how a documentary is chosen, made and broadcast. Laurent Dereux receives Pierre-Jérome Montenot, editor in charge documentaries for Wéo.

From financial planning to production files, the path before broadcasting can be long. Today, the channel orders between 15 and 20 documentaries per year. Picatanovo participates in the financing of these selected productions via a steering committee.

On the France 3 side, It is the channel that provides cash funding or production assistance for around twenty documentaries per year.

This year, Wéo organized a major competition for nursing homes in the Hauts-de-France region to become ambassadors for the channel and especially for the show “Sur un Air d’Accordéon”, presented by Michel Pruvot. After receiving all the photos, the jury selected 5 finalists for this year 2024, which are: – Nursing home Les Evoissons de Poix de Picardie – Fondation Partage et Vie in Douai – Nursing home Saint Jean in Bergues – Résidence Louise Marais d’Arc in Bray Sur Somme – Marpa Les Aiauts in Feuquières en Vimeu.

It’s up to you to vote for your favorite photo. The winners will welcome Michel Pruvot, the king of the accordion and presenter of the show “Sur un air d’accordéon” into their home.
