5 stories Marvel needs to develop around The Scarlet Witch

Season 1 of Agatha All Along just ended on Disney+. A generally successful series which offers pleasant continuity to WandaVision et Doctor Strange 2. But now that the events of Agatha All Along are finished, we would like to see The Scarlet Witch again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Here are 5 stories around Wanda that Marvel Studios should adapt!

His relationship with his brother

Barely introduced in the post-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldierwhich Quicksilver is murdered by Ultron in the next film. Incarnated by Aaron Taylor-JohnsonPietro Maximoff did not have enough time to be exploited. And it's really a shame because Wanda and Pietro have a fascinating close relationship. Always alone against the world, they are ready to do anything for each other. But Quicksilver dies (a stupid death at that) at the end of Edge of Ultron. If we believed in a return of the character in WandaVision under the guise of Evan Petersit was actually a move by Agatha Harkness to manipulate Wanda. In any case, we hope that Avengers : Secret Wars will allow a return of Quicksilver and Wanda, and that Marvel will consider telling a new adventure around the two characters.

The Children’s Crusade

The Children’s Crusade

Agatha All Along has just recycled an iconic character within the MCU. Do you remember little Billy in WandaVision. Well the latter grew up well and became Wiccan, a powerful sorcerer. In Agatha All Alongthe latter is looking for his brother Tommy, alias Speed. In the comics, when the two brothers are reunited, they decide to go looking for their missing mother. The excellent bow Avengers : The Children’s Crusade tells this story. Such an arc could be developed in the MCU. Marvel Studios could even integrate the Young Avengers, Agatha, Vision or Doom into this story. Our mouths are watering!

House of M

House of M

It is undoubtedly the most emblematic comic around The Scarlet Witch. Written by Brian M Bendisthis story tells how Wanda goes completely off her hinges. In House of MQuicksilver learns that the X-Men and the Avengers want to eliminate his sister, because of the permanent danger she represents. Pietro then warns Wanda of the Machiavellian plan of his former allies. The Scarlet Witch then decides to create a whole alternate universe dominated by mutants. The latter become the dominant hope, and Magneto, his father, becomes their messiah. Everyone has forgotten the old world except Wolverine. He sets out to reestablish the truth, even if the world created by Wanda serves the mutant cause. Except that when Wanda realizes what she has done, she once again loses control of her powers and destroys a large part of the mutants on the planet. She whispers the cult phrase « No more mutants » which leads to the disappearance of the mutant gene in 99% of the latter. An iconic story which fully deserves to be told and which could enable to definitively introduce the X-Men into the MCU.

Vision

Vision

What becomes of White Vision in all this? Hard to say. The last time we saw him was in the final climax of WandaVision. In the comics, there is also a moment where Vision loses his temper. He too decides to create his own little family, somewhat in the form of a mirror of the events in Westview. In this adventure, Vision uses Wanda's brain to create a robotic version of The Scarlet Witch. In an excess of selfishness, he surrounds himself with a robotic family, which he manipulates according to his good will. Little by little, Vision has more ambition, and seeks to create a whole world in his image. A story that could easily be transposed into the MCU, and which could take viewers towards a more horrific approach. Here too Wiccan could have its role to play.

His romance with Doom

Wanda and Fatalis

And yes, in the comics, Fatalis and The Scarlet Witch have a romantic relationship. Following House of Mwe learn that Doom saved Wanda from her amnesia. He sheltered her in his nation Latveria while she recovers from her emotions. Except that, little by little, Doom fell in love with The Scarlet Witch. The two characters had a fairly short relationship, before Speed et Wiccan do not intervene to bring their mother to her senses. In the MCU, Doom could find Wanda's trail shortly after the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In the paper stories, Fatalis is interested in black magic. He could therefore also have wanted to come into possession of the Darkhold. His research could lead him to trace Wanda, save her life, and collect her in Latveria. This would make a great starting point The Children’s Crusadesee the next two Avengers.

And you, what is your favorite story around Wanda's universe?
