“It was really curious… The contract said: ‘Marvel Studios has the right to have Tom Hiddleston play the role of…’ and there was a blank. Someone had written ‘Thor/Loki’.”

Feige then revealed his intention to conclude Phase 1 of the MCU with Avengers, a blockbuster bringing together the greatest heroes of the franchise, with Loki as the main antagonist. A heady prospect for Hiddleston, who felt that his life and career were about to take a decisive turn.
