Fans Angry Over DAZN PPV Price for Bivol Doubleheader Event

Fans on social media are complaining about the DAZN PPV price for the Dmitry Bivol + “5 on 5” doubleheader on June 1. The event price is $69.99 in the United States on DAZN PPV.

Beterbiev bows out, Bivol gets Zinad as replacement

Originally, Bivol was supposed to fight unified light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev in the headliner, a fight that many people were excited about.

Beterbiev is now out of the picture after suffering a meniscus rupture, and he has been replaced as Bivol’s opponent by obscure fringe contender Malik Zinad.

They should have found someone else to fight Bivol, a fighter American fans have heard of, given the PPV price of $69.99. David Benavidez would have been a good option.

Boxing fans on X say they’re not interested in seeing Bivol fight this guy, whose resume is full of unknowns. They say Bivol-Zinad is not worth seeing on DAZN PPV, and they are going to dust off their Fire sticks if the price does not drop to reflect the change in opponent for the main event. The price of the PPV will not be reduced, which could lead to many fans choosing not to order the event.

Notable fights on the card

– Deontay Wilder vs. Zhilei Zhang
– Filip Hrgovic vs. Daniel Dubois
– Raymond Ford vs. Nick Ball
– Willy Hutchinson vs. Craig Richards
– Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Austin Williams

Boxing fans aren’t interested in buying into the event to see the recently beaten Deontay Wilder fight Zhilei Zhang. Both guys lost their last fight and looked terrible.

Organizers of the June 1 event weren’t going to abandon the card after Beterbiev’s injury. Still, they should have found someone better than Zinad to replace him, because the undercard isn’t good enough in the eyes of fans on social media to pay the asking price.

The fight between heavyweights Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois is also lackluster. Dubois was knocked out in nine rounds in his last fight in August by Oleksandr Usyk, which takes much of the luster out of the match between him and Hrgovic.
