After three seasons at Ducati, Marco Bezzecchi begins a new chapter by joining the official Aprilia team in 2025.
The Aprilia team line-up is completely new for 2025. The Noale firm has recruited Jorge Martin, reigning world champion, and Marco Bezzecchi. Like Martin, Bezzecchi also moves from Ducati to Aprilia.
Bezzecchi already had the opportunity to evaluate the RS-GP at the Barcelona test last November. He will return to his mount at Sepang from February 5 to 7. “I can't wait to get out there, work hard, give it my all and try to get good results,” he said during the team presentation at the Sky studios in Milan. We are all very motivated, and that is something that I value a lot. I'm very motivated and I'll see you in Sepang! »
In terms of numbers, Bezzecchi has a total of 9 podiums in MotoGP, including 3 victories, 4 pole positions and a third place in the championship as his best result in 2023. The 2024 season was more complicated for the Italian who only recorded one only Top 3 (third during the Spanish GP in Jerez).
Rivola plans to create “something special”
-Massimo Rivola, CEO of Aprilia Racing, is convinced of the potential of the official team for the coming season. “With two strong, talented and motivated drivers like Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi, and an equally determined team and company, we can create something special,” he commented. The RS-GP25 has enormous potential, and our task will be to ensure that this is expressed to its fullest in each of the 22 races of the championship. »
