Barry Baltus will compete in the 2025 Moto2 world championship with the Fantic Racing team. The current best Belgian driver, who reached the podium in Qatar this season, will team up with Aron Canet.

Zelos communicated:

Barry Baltus will continue his rise in the Moto2 World Championship in 2025. The young Belgian talent will join Fantic Racing to compete in his fifth season in the intermediate Grand Prix category, aboard the Italian team's Kalex. This will be his sixth year on the international scene.

Aged 20, Barry Baltus arrived in the Moto3 World Championship in 2020. He quickly advanced to the Moto2 class, more suited to his riding style and physical characteristics. Progress has been increasing between 2021 (2 points), 2022 (30 points) and 2023 (55 points). The Belgian won the first podium of his career in 2024 – and the first for the RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP team –, finishing second in the Qatar Grand Prix.

The transfer of Barry Baltus to Fantic Racing marks a new stage in his career. The Zelos Black Knights rider will compete in one of the best teams in the Moto2 World Championship, under the direction of project manager Stefano Bedon and team manager Roberto Locatelli. Created in 2023, the Fantic Racing team has already won 4 victories and 9 podiums in a short time. Barry Baltus will share his box with Aron Canet, 2024 world vice-champion and winner of three races this season.
