The Phillip Island circuit turns left and it’s a feature that Marc Marquez likes. But the Spaniard is not getting carried away with his objectives and says he wants to “ride at the level of Bagnaia and Martin”.
“Looks like it will be wet on Friday. This can be an advantage or a disadvantage: we will have less time to test the tires and the new asphalt. It will be essential to make the right choice of tires because last year, the driver who was strongest here (Martin) chose the wrong tires, and he paid dearly for his mistake. »
“We always expect a lot from a new asphalt but we will have to see the first sessions to understand how the wear is going. But this season, my feelings were less good when there was a lot of grip. »
