MotoGP – 2024 Japanese Grand Prix: qualifying practice!

It’s time for the Japanese Grand Prix! After Mandalika last week, MotoGP stops at Motegi for the 16th round of the championship. Despite the threat posed by Pecco Bagnaia, it is Jorge Martín who leads the drivers’ championship with 21 points ahead of the Italian. Follow the qualifying practices live with us!

The live

Favorite Martin this weekend?

There is already only five steps before the end of this 2024 championship, five stages to decide between the two leaders: Jorge Martín and his runner-up, Francesco Bagnaia. The gap between the two rivals is 21 points after the victory of the “Martinator” in Indonesia last week and the third place of Pecco.

Martin can rely on better dynamics upon arriving in Japan, but also on the certainties of last year! Indeed, the Pramac driver had established itself in 2023 on the Motegi circuit, at the end of a race shortened by rain, in which he was the pole sitter. This advantage could allow Martín to increase his lead in the standings at the end of this weekend, on one of the rare tracks where Bagnaia did not never imposed.

But even without a victory here, Bagnaia remains a tough opponent to be wary of. We also think of Enea Bastianini and Marc Márquez, who were forced to retire last week and will undoubtedly have a vengeful spirit. Let’s see what the qualifying practices have in store for us!
