MotoGP Aprilia: after Oliveira’s injury, Lorenzo Savadori takes over in Japan


The TrackHouse team has officially announced that Aprilia factory tester Lorenzo Savadori will take Miguel Oliveira’s place at the Japanese Grand Prix, marking the 16th stop of the 2024 MotoGP season. The move comes after the injury of Oliveira, who suffered a fractured right wrist in a fall in Mandalika, Indonesia, during Free Practice 1.

Oliveirawho was transported to the Sant’Ana di Parede Hospital in Lisbon, underwent surgery led by Dr. Gonçalo Moarais Sarmento to implant a plate to stabilize the fractured bone. His return to the track remains uncertain, but it is clear that he will not be able to participate in the next races.
