Heavy rains leave four dead, fourteen missing

Local authorities in Tata province have announced in a preliminary report that four people have lost their lives while fourteen others are missing following heavy rains that hit the province and surrounding areas.

These bad weather events caused a rise in water levels in many rivers, leading to flash floods in several valleys and wadis, which led to the destruction of eight homes in the douar “Ouakarda”, located in the commune of Tamanart, Aqqa circle.

All necessary human and logistical resources have been mobilized to intervene immediately to deal with this exceptional situation, provide assistance to the population, open up the affected areas and restore infrastructure networks in the region.
