Senegalese striker M’Baye Niang signed his one-season contract with Wydad Casablanca on Sunday, September 8, the club announced on its social networks.
The former AC Milan player joins the Reds for one season with an option to extend. This transfer, made free of charge, constitutes the 16th recruit of the Casablanca club during the current summer transfer window.
M’Baye Niang, 29, finalized his contract this afternoon with Wydad. Last season, Niang played for Italian club Empoli, having already played for several European teams, including in France with Auxerre, Bordeaux and Rennes, as well as in Italy with AC Milan and Torino. He also had experience in Turkey with Adana Demirspor.
In last season’s Serie A campaign with Empoli, Niang made 14 appearances, scoring six goals and providing one assist.
Wydad strengthened its squad this summer by recruiting 16 players, including goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards, including names such as Abdelali El Mouhammadi, Hamza Sakhi, and Brazilian Pedrinho.
