This Saturday, December 28, two companies will host the Bergerac Christmas market. On the program are giant bubbles and flames.

After the acrobatic stroll which took place on the Périgueux Christmas market on Saturday December 21, it is the Bergerac market which will come alive this December 28 with a stroll and a fire show.

Giant bubbles in the streets

It’s the company L’Envers du Monde which will shake up the Christmas market at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. with its stroll entitled “Les chimères du vent”. Loosely inspired by “La Horde du Contrevent” by Alain Damasio, the show features cloud chasers setting off in search of the origins of the wind. During their journey, they encounter wind muses dancing through the clouds. Several paintings make up this show and invite the public to embark on a fantastic journey. The characters brave wind storms, celestial and imaginary tides. They anchor to capture the winds then sail from one islet to another. The public follows their journey punctuated by a quest for the winds when they stop. A real moment of amazement with the giant soap bubbles flying in the street.

Light the fire

Then at 6:30 p.m., once night has fallen, the company Opale de Lune will light up the town of Cyrano with a fiery show: “Cendres de feu”. With oriental and Asian touches, this show is a real invitation to travel. Sleek costumes accented with gold, mystical characters, martial arts and a grandiose fireworks finale will provide a memorable moment for tourists and Bergerac residents. The technical prowess of the artists is highlighted by a contemporary soundtrack. All under a rain of embers and fiery special effects.

Stroll “Les chimères du vent” by the company L’Envers du Monde on Place Louis de la Bardonnie at 11 a.m. then 4 p.m. Fire show by the Opale de Lune company on Place Gambetta at 6:30 p.m.
