Inès, 15 years old, killed by forty stab wounds
On the evening of Friday, December 13, Inès, a 15-year-old girl, was fatally stabbed in Isle. His body was discovered around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 15, on Allée des Carrières, in Isle.
On Friday evening, the teenager's mother reported the disappearance of her daughter who had left the family home around 6 p.m. The police quickly began looking for her before tracing back to a teenager with whom young Inès had spoken on the social network Snapchat a few days before. Initially heard as a witness, the teenager was then placed in police custody on Saturday December 14. The latter explained to investigators that he had arranged to meet Inès near a bus stop in the center of Isle, claiming to want to give her a gift from a friend. Before taking her “to a nearby wood” while holding a jewelry box, and a knife in his pocket “to intimidate her”, according to him. “In panic”, during this fatal meeting, according to him, the teenager stabbed him numerous times, before fleeing and throwing Inès' phone in a cellar.
During the first findings, around forty wounds, some of which were very deep, and others which could be defensive wounds, were observed on the body of the teenager described as joyful, uneventful, and a fan of combat sports. .
The Limoges public prosecutor's office has opened a judicial investigation for “violent theft resulting in death”. Monday, December 16, the judge of freedoms and detention decided to place the alleged perpetrator in pre-trial detention, as requested by the Limoges public prosecutor's office.
Fatal gunshots at Portes-Ferrées
On the night of Friday January 12 to Saturday January 13, two people were shot and injured in the Portes-Ferrées district, in Limoges, rue Domnolet-Lafarge.
An 18-year-old young man died and a second was injured. An investigation into assassination and attempted assassination was opened by the Limoges public prosecutor's office. A headless body found in Beaubreuil
Sunday, December 31, a woman living in Allée des Pinsons in the Beaubreuil district of Limoges (Haute-Vienne), made a macabre discovery. In his garden shed, human bones had been placed in boxes. An investigation had been opened by the Limoges public prosecutor's office for murder and concealment of a corpse. Remains of a human body which would have been cut with a saw and whose head is still not found, almost a year after this discovery. The boxes would have been left in 2022, more than 18 months ago. On January 2, the two suspects were arrested. The owner's ex-husband, aged 54, was indicted for murder and placed in detention. His 46-year-old brother was indicted for concealment of a corpse and placed under judicial supervision. To this day, both still deny the facts.
Two months after the start of the investigation, in March, the victim was identified: it is El Hassan Mirhom, a homeless man who disappeared in December 2021 in Limoges.
Death of the Man in Blue, mowed down on a bicycle
Having become a figure in Limoges, despite himself, Jean-Marc Chatard, nicknamed “the Man in Blue” died after being hit by a car in Eyjeaux, near Limoges, on the evening of Friday November 8, on the RD 979 while he was riding his bike. Saturday, December 16, a blue march brought together hundreds of people to the town hall square. Placed in police custody, the driver who went himself to the gendarmerie after fleeing the evening of the accident, admitted the facts. At this stage, the prosecution retained the qualification of manslaughter aggravated by the hit-and-run.
A cold case resolved 22 years after the facts
Sunday February 10, 2002, the body of a 39-year-old woman was discovered on rue Beyrand in Limoges. 22 years later, the murderer was found. Thursday August 22, the alleged perpetrator was brought before the Limoges public prosecutor's office, then indicted for murder and acts of torture, then placed in detention. The latter was betrayed by his DNA during a traffic stop. This is Sébastien B. He was arrested at his home, a small apartment on the first floor of a building, located on Allée des Rivailles, in Ambazac.
According to neighbors, the seemingly calm man could have particular attitudes…especially on full moon evenings when “he cried wolves” according to neighbors interviewed. In this small district of Ambazac, the news had the effect of a tidal wave.
A blown house in Limoges
Around 2:30 a.m. on March 29, a house was completely blown away by an explosion, rue de Toulouse in Limoges. The facade had been taken off the ground.
In the neighborhood, residents heard “a big boom”. Around fifty firefighters were sent to the scene. The tenant on the ground floor was found seriously burned under the rubble. Transported in absolute emergency by the Smur, she died shortly after the tragedy.
The blown up house could be demolished. For the moment, the origin of the explosion is unknown, even if the gas leak seems favored. An investigation was opened by the police.
Death of two divers in Saint-Sornin-Leulac
The causes of the accident unknown. Wednesday August 14, in the old Montulat quarry in Saint-Sornin-Leulac, in the north of the department, two divers were killed. The two men were on an outing with their club L'Aquarillon de Montmorillon (Vienna). Aged 62 and 65, they were found unresponsive by the other divers. According to our information, the data stated before the dive did not correspond to those analyzed in the black boxes. Anomalies in the depth curves would have been noted and could indeed provide answers to the causes of the accident.
Storm Nelson: flooding in Haute-Vienne
During the night of Friday March 29 to Saturday March 30, many rivers overflowed in the department following the passage of Storm Nelson. Two adult women filed a complaint and three other reports were made to the police.
A teenage girl also filed a complaint after being approached by a man offering her sexual or romantic favors in exchange for money, before the latter violently hit her on rue Jean-Jaurès. That same evening, a 32-year-old man was beaten and threatened with a knife.
