This is one of the increases announced, complementary health insurance companies will increase their prices by 6 to 8% from January 1, 2025. This is the time to compare the different mutual insurance companies. Since 2018, the Haute-Vienne department has offered this comparison, a service open to all people who live in 87; to date, more than 1,500 users have benefited from it.

According to Annick Morizio, the Vice-President (PS) of the Departmental Council of Haute-Vienne, the community has entrusted the Axione association, which brings together several mutual societies, with the task of finding preferential rates. Welcome help in this department affected by medical desertification and where retirees are numerous.

For seven years, within the departmental council, Grégory Giroud has received physically and free of charge all residents who wish to change mutual insurance. He is the “Haute-Vienne Santé” referent. According to him, “we are not content to simply give a price, we analyze people's health needs and we try to adapt it according to our partners.”

We want to fight against giving up treatment and improve purchasing power, we manage to earn on average 20 to 30 euros per month, depending on the mutual insurance companies.

Guy Frugier, a young retiree, has just benefited from this departmental service. It allowed him to compare the guarantees and monthly contributions of half a dozen referenced mutual insurance companies. He made his choice with full knowledge. For him, “it is a system that meets the needs of current retirees, who unfortunately do not have the same means as active people.”

This allowed me to have an attractive mutual with a lower monthly contribution than those offered to me in stores.

For this retiree from Haute-Vienne, with this system, he was able to save more than 50 euros per month. And even if your complementary health insurance will increase at the beginning of 2025, the difference will remain proportional.
