It is common knowledge that the Steam version of Bully: Scholarship Edition is the victim of bugs and unwanted crashes, making it almost unplayable without having to install patches yourself. On the forums, most players therefore advised playing the console version or in emulation. So when the game on Steam received an update at the beginning of December, some players started to get excited about a possible corrective patch but… Nope.
Bully is updated on Steam, but not much new under the sun
So of course, Bullythe game that puts you in the shoes of the turbulent teenager Jimmy Hopkinsreceives a update ghost early December. But don't get carried away, because it seems minor and don't fix anything at first glance. Indeed, only the executable testapp.exewhich is the original executable of the title in unpatched version (i.e. version 1.154), has been removed. Apart from that, no other game files appear to have been modified or deleted. The title of Rockstar Games still seems to contain the same bugs and still crashes PCs.
However, it seems that the page Steam of Bully now mentions the need to have a third party account Rockstar Games to be able to play it, a mention which was completely absent before. This may mean that in the future the launcher house of Rockstar will be added to the game. To be continued.
Not much to get your teeth into with this tiny update of Bully. However, some players do not despair and pray for a patch update allowing it to be played in decent conditions is deployed if the launcher of Rockstar Games is actually added. In any case, that’s all we wish them.
