It was almost 2:00 p.m. this Tuesday, December 17, when the relief were called urgently to the restaurant McDonald’s of Senlislocated at 68 avenue du Général-de-Gaulle. A 38-year-old man from Dammartin-en-Goëlein Seine-et-, was having lunch there quietly, apparently with his child, when he began to show signs of feeling unwell. In fact, the man would have been the victim of heart attack lightning. The emergency services, quickly on site, tried everything to revive the father of the family. In vain.

The restaurant was evacuated

“We had the restaurant evacuated to allow emergency services to intervene,” explains Yannick Augrandenis, who takes care of press relations for the American giant. In fact, the very busy establishment only reopened its doors in the evening…

According to a source close to the investigation, cited by our colleagues from Le Parisien, “the victim suffered from morbid obesity and weighed more than 200 kg”. Still according to the daily, the man “had a known medical history, including a cardiac history.”

A psychological unit set up

The Senlis restaurant has around 80 employees who take turns throughout the week. “A psychological unit was set up for all those who were present this Tuesday,” indicates Yannick Augrandenis. “The management of the Senlis restaurant would like to express its deep emotion after the death of one of its customers within the restaurant,” concludes the Senlis managers. On behalf of all the teams and the brand, we would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and their loved ones.”
