Who wins, who loses, who maintains? Like this year, INSEE (National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies) revealed its figures on the evolution of the municipal population, this Thursday, December 19, 2024. These figures establish the official population as of 1is January 2025.
To provide this element, INSEE is in fact based on the population in 2022. The increases or decreases indicated correspond to those which took place between 2016 and 2022.
Within the Morlaix community, we can note that Morlaix, the central town, continues its positive development, already underway in 1is January 2024. We can note that Plougasnou, finally, is recording positive developments, after several years of decline.
Overall, the coastal municipalities continue to attract, but so do the lands, like Plounéour-Ménez, which gains 48 inhabitants or Saint-Thégonnec-Loc-Eguiner, with an increase of 105 inhabitants. Please note: Plouégat-Guérand loses two places in the ranking, Sainte-Sève gains one, just like Locquénolé.
