Two months after the discovery of the teenager’s body in Nièvre, new information was brought to light by a forensic expert report, which had been requested by the two investigating judges of the judicial court in responsible for the investigation.

A press conference this Friday

The Strasbourg public prosecutor’s office should hold a press conference this Friday, December 20 to take stock of these new elements.

Lina disappeared on September 23, 2023 late in the morning. She had left her home in Plaine, at the foot of the Vosges massif, to go to the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche station, about three kilometers away. She had to take the train to meet her boyfriend in Strasbourg. Despite several searches carried out over the following days, no trace of the teenager was found. On October 1, 2023, a judicial investigation was opened into charges of kidnapping and criminal confinement.

The young girl’s body was found in Nièvre on October 16, more than 800 km from her home in Plaine.

The main suspect in this case, Samuel Gonin, killed himself last July.
