Rashford on the departure, who will be his next club according to the bookmakers?

Marcus Rashford opens the door to a departure. It remains to be seen where to go?…

The announcement came like a bolt from the blue: Marcus Rashford has confirmed that he is considering leaving Manchester United. “I think I’m ready for a new challenge”said the 27-year-old striker. A declaration which seals the end of a story lasting more than a decade between the English striker and his training club, and which is already whetting the appetite of the biggest European teams.

According to the latest odds from bookmakers, Saint-Germain is the favorite to welcome Marcus Rashford in the next winter transfer window. A player’s arrival in Paris is rated at 3.5, making it a plausible destination. The Parisian club, looking for offensive reinforcements as the departure of Randal Kolo-Muani seems to be taking shape, could see the English international as an attractive alternative.

PSG as favorite, other big clubs are in the mix

In second place, a departure to a club in the Saudi Pro League is rated at 6 to 1. Although this option offers incomparable financial prospects, it would be surprising to see Rashford go into exile outside Europe so soon, while he is still in the prime of life. Among the most credible options, Arsenal is positioned at 8. The Gunners, in full rise under the orders of Mikel Arteta, could offer Rashford the opportunity to stay in England while evolving in an ambitious collective, capable of aiming for titles domestic and European. But the file remains complex, in particular because of the historical rivalry between the two clubs.

Other European big names, like FC Barcelona or Chelsea, are also in the race with a rating of 11. Barça, despite its financial constraints, remains a prestigious destination for any high-level player. Chelsea, for their part, could try to inject offensive talent to maintain their good momentum in the Premier League.

Trained at Manchester United, Marcus Rashford left his mark on the Red Devils collective. Since his debut in 2016, the striker has scored 87 Premier League goals and established himself as a senior member of the team before having a more difficult season. Left out of the plans of Ruben Amorim, the new manager of the Red Devils, and little used with the Three Lions in 2024, Rashford visibly feels the need to start on new bases.
