Adobe has announced an overhaul of its pricing policy which will come into effect next month. In addition to an increase in prices, the Photoshop editor will now move to plans with a one-year commitment.
Adobe announced a substantial price increase for its offerings at the end of last week. In an article published on its blog, the Photoshop publisher indicates that the prices of its Creative Cloud subscriptions for photography would increase from next year.
From now on, most offers will require a commitment of at least one year, with potentially a price increase in the event of monthly payment for new users:
Old price | New price | Evolution | |
Creative Cloud Photo (20 GB) monthly payment | 11.99 euros / month | 11.99 euros/month for old subscribers, 18.14 euros / month for new subscribers | 0% to +51% |
Creative Cloud Photo (20 GB) annual payment | 143 euros / an | 143 euros / an | 0 % |
Creative Cloud Photo (1 To) mensuel | 23.99 euros / month | 23.99 euros / month | 0 % |
Creative Cloud Photo (1TB) with 1-year commitment | 23.99 euros / month | 23.99 euros / month | 0 % |
Lightroom (1TB) monthly payment | 11.99 euros / month | 11.99 euros / month for old subscribers 14.62 euros / month for new subscribers | +22 % |
Lightroom (1TB) annual payment | 143 euros / an | 143 euros / an | 0 % |
In detail, Adobe decides to move from a monthly subscription to a subscription with a one-year commitment. This is particularly the case for the basic plan including Photoshop, Lightroom and Lightroom Classic and 20 GB of storage.

This offer, probably the most interesting so far on Adobe’s price list, will undergo several changes. First, new users will have no choice but to commit to one year by paying 143 euros in one go.
Then, current customers who until now paid their package every month will necessarily switch to a one-year commitment at 143 euros – while being able to keep the monthly payment of 11.99 euros. New customers will have to upgrade to a higher offer to benefit from the monthly payment, at 18.14 euros per month with a one-year commitment.
If the offer with 1 TB of storage does not change, this is however the case for the package including only Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Lightroom Classic (without Photoshop). The monthly payment without commitment increases from 11.99 to 14.62 euros per month.
A price increase explained by Adobe’s new features
Adobe justifies these new prices by the many new features integrated into its various software:
For over a decade, we’ve been delivering innovation in Lightroom and Photoshop, developing hundreds of features for photographers of all levels. Today, we’re announcing an update to our photo subscription plans that reflect the value of what our apps deliver.
For existing customers, it will therefore be better to go with the offer with a one-year commitment and monthly payment, which will allow you to benefit from an unchanged price. New customers have every interest in subscribing to this offer before the changes are implemented.
This new Adobe pricing policy will come into effect on January 15, 2025 for new subscribers, or upon renewal for current users.
