“Almost a hundred projects deployed”
At 41 rue d’Italie, La Comédie des Alpes, which was above all a theater troupe, moved to a fixed location at the beginning of September 2024, owned by Cristal Habitat on the first floor of the theater gallery, in the center city.
This café-theater, founded by Thomas Caruso, is dedicated exclusively to humor, with comedies, stand-up, music, improvisation, and plays for young audiences. The 160-seat room is almost full for each performance, while the artists’ café will complete the offering in 2025.
This achievement is part of the continuity of the revitalization of this emblematic gallery and more generally of rue d’Italie supported by the City and the social landlord, as part of Action coeur de ville. “Almost a hundred projects are currently being deployed,” testified François Ravier, the prefect of Savoie, at the end of the field visit. “For the State and its operators, this represents nearly 70 million euros of investment for a well-structured, ambitious project that is progressing month after month.”
New milestones were set during this day of December 16. “This attractiveness, this identity, must also make the city more sustainable, more pleasant to live in, through the treatment of housing, particularly in terms of energy performance, and the rehabilitation of businesses, in order to create a place where we want to come live”, affirmed François Ravier, recalling that the objective of Zero net artificialization of land in 2025 is part of the problem of Action coeur de ville: “We are largely remaking the city on the city, to offer new functionalities . »
