Weather report. What is the weather like this Wednesday, December 18 in Hauts-de-France?

Unsettled and even turbulent weather awaits us over the next few days. It starts today with the first disturbance which approached the region in the second part of the night.

The deterioration of the day is not very active. It was light rain which arrived from the coasts. They cross the region, shifting towards the east and are accompanied by gusts of wind : 60 to 80 km/h in the coastal zone and the north of the region, 40 to 60 km/h elsewhere.

A temporary calm will accompany us for a good part of the afternoon. Not only will precipitation become rarer, but wind gusts will also become more discreet. Unfortunately this evening, we will have the passage of another disturbance, active this time. More heavy and continuous rain, as well as stronger wind gusts (60 to 80 km/h in the interior, 70 to 90 in the coastal area). We will have to wait until noon tomorrow for the situation to begin to calm down.

Unsettled but mild day, especially this afternoon. Minimum temperatures range between 5 and 7 degrees.

The maximums are at least six degrees above seasonal values ​​with great mildness today : 12 to 14 degrees.

THURSDAY : Waking up in the rain and wind. Continuing rain is expected to begin to ease by midday. However, it will rain until the evening. Same thing for the wind, which will become moderate and move to the northwest. Rainfall accumulations will be greater than this Wednesday, Météo France announces 7 to 10 mm in 24 hours, locally 15 mm. No change for the minimums, but a small drop in the maximums with 10 to 12°C.

Friday : It’s confirmed ! This December 20 will be the most beautiful day of the week ! The clear to slightly cloudy sky in the morning will become cloudy from the west in the afternoon as the next rain wave approaches which will hit the coast in the evening. So let’s take advantage of this brightness ! The southwest wind will blow gusty again : 40 to 50 km/h inland, 60 to 70 km/h on the coasts. As for temperatures, it will be cooler especially in the morning with 1 to 6°C from east to west, the maximums will be 7 to 11°C.

SATURDAY : The overnight disturbance will continue its course and will evacuate in the morning from the south-east. The rest of the day will see variable skies between clearings and showers. The southwest wind will be moderate to quite strong and temperatures will start to rise again.

Rain and wind, the air quality index should still be average today in the region, the weather conditions are in fact conducive to the dispersion of pollutants. Ozone will be the majority pollutant.
