The Union 138 Coalition, which has been campaigning for the creation of a bridge between Tadoussac and Baie-Sainte-Catherine since 2017, organized a mobilization on Tuesday in front of the office of the MP for Duplessis, in Sept-Îles.
A large banner, loud music, easy-honking truckers and smoke bombs were all used to demand concrete answers from the MP, Kateri Champagne Jourdain.
“The next step is that they will be presented to us, the elected representatives of the Côte-Nord, at the beginning of 2025 and that they will be presented to the liaison committee on which representatives of civil society who are also representatives of the Union 138 Coalition,” she continues. “We have always been transparent in this matter and we will continue to be. »
A log for a bridge
Guillaume Tremblay offered a Christmas log bearing the image of the bridge to MP Kateri Champagne Jourdain, as a symbol of collaboration for this important project.

Guillaume Tremblay mentions in particular the hydroelectric transmission lines project planned in the MRCs of Manicouagan and Sept-Rivières, as well as the numerous mining projects taking place in the territory.
The mayor of Port-Cartier, Alain Thibault, was also present to present his support for the cause.
