Witnesses claim to see thick smoke near exit 346 of the Trans-Canada Highway.

In New Brunswick, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) indicates that Highway 2 is temporarily closed in the Jemseg area, due to a collision in a construction zone.

In a Twitter advisory, RCMP say a collision has occurred in the Whites Cove area and the east and west lanes of Highway 2 are temporarily closed.

Traffic is diverted and the RCMP adds that delays are to be expected. No other details are available at this time, but witnesses report seeing smoke near Exit 346 of the Trans-Canada Highway.
