While our weekend only starts, he has already reached a point of no return. The culprit? French biathlon, to change.
Intractable French in biathlon
After his victory over the sprint, Lou Jeanmonnot had a mattress of around twenty seconds on his two German pursuers, Selina Grotian and Franziska Preuss. And from the start, the Frenchwoman leaves like a cannonball, and succeeded in a flawlessness on her first shot, unlike the Germans. And as if our disillusionment was not large enough, now Julia Simon, Jeanne Richard and Océane Michelon succeeded in flawlessness. Ditto on the second shot, which gives us four French women at 10/10 on the bed. The desire to zap on another channel itchs us.
If Lou Jeanmonnot commits a fault on his last shot, in order to maintain the pseudo suspense, Julia Simon slams a 20/20, just like Jeanne Richard. Jeanmonnot won his sixth victory of the season, and ahead of Julia Simon on the finish line. But worse, if Franziska Preuss manages to tear third place, Jeanne Richard and Océane Michelon complete the flower ceremony. Which gives us four French women in the top 5. And even five tricolor biathletes in the top 10, with the rise of Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (10th). Absolutely odious.
