Mario Vukovic () and Ekaterina Dutsenko (Russia) S'imposent

This Sunday, January 26, 2025, the exhibition center was the scene of the finals of the prestigious little ace tournament, a real “world championship” for young tennis talents.

The French Mario Vukovic and the Russian Ekaterina Dotenko won in their respective categories, thus marking this 43ᵉ edition of the Tournament des Petits AS in Tarbes of their footprint.

FILLES FINAL: DOTSENKO DOMPTE MATVEJEVA

The female final opposed the Russian Ekaterina Dotenko to the Lettonne Darina Matvejeva, for an intense duel concluded on the score of 6/3, 6/4 in favor of Dsenko.

Despite a dazzling start of Matvejeva, who was breaking from the start to lead 2-0, Dotenko quickly found his rhythm to equalize at 2-2. A series of breaks and Débreaks followed, but the Russian managed to take the ascendant at 4-3 before sealing the first set on a white game, 6/3.

In the second set, the two players went back to blow. After equality at 2-2, Dotenko took a slight advantage at 4-2. But Matvejeva, combative, gave up at 4-4. The Lettonne, however, failed to maintain the cadence, allowing DOsenko to conclude the Channel 6/4 and to win the title.

Garçons Final: Mario Vukovic Écrase Tristan Ascenzo

The male final was marked by the demonstration of French Mario Vukovic, who swept the American Tristan Ascenzo in two expeditious sets 6/1, 6/0.

Despite a hesitant start to the match with a break conceded from the first game, Vukovic immediately reacted to equalize at 1-1. Subsequently, the young Frenchman, seeded n ° 5, dominated without sharing, chaining 11 consecutive games against a helpless Ascenzo.

With this victory, Mario Vukovic puts an end to an eleven -year -old French scarcity in this emblematic tournament. The last tricolor victory dates back to 2014.

A successful edition for a legendary tournament

The Little AS tournament, recognized to reveal the stars of tomorrow (Rafael Nadal, Martina Hingis or Richard Gasquet have passed by), has once proven that he is the unmissable event for young prodigies of tennis.

With the victories of Mario Vukovic and Ekaterina Dotenko, this 43ᵉ edition will remain engraved in memories. The future promises to be radiant for these two young champions, to follow closely on the international scene.
