One famous influencer Algerian and his Italian wife were arrested in Lebanon for espionage. However, the couple was released, several media sources reported.

Belkacem Ben Arous, a young Algerian from Laghouat, and his Italian wife Ester, are very active on social networks where they share, under the name of “Kasoest”, their trips around the world.

The two influencers particularly emphasize the promotion of the tourist destination Algeria. On Tik-Tok, they are followed by 1.5 million followers.

Surprised taking photos in a sensitive area

Friday, January 24, information reported by the Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar surprised fans of the influencer couple. According to this media, Belkacem Ben Arous, 31, and his 35 -year -old Italian wife were arrested by elements of the Lebanese Hezbollah who suspected them of “espionage”.

The two spouses were surprised taking photos in a “sensitive area” of the southern suburbs of Beirut, the fief of Hezbollah which suffered last fall from the intensive bombing of the Israeli army.

According to the same newspaper, close to Hezbollah, the two influencers were arrested in possession of sophisticated equipment.

According to the same source, the elements of the Hezbollah which arrested then gave the couple to the Lebanese security authorities to question them and continue the investigation.

The numerous followers of the couple, especially in Algeria, expressed their misunderstanding after what happened, knowing that the two influencers only promote tourist destinations and have never been cited in a controversy, even less in a case tort.

Those who thought of a misunderstanding were not wrong. After his interrogation by the Lebanese security services, it turned out that the couple only inadvertently ventured into an area that they ignored sensitive.

According to the London newspaper Al Quds Al Arabi, the young Algerian and his Italian wife were released this Saturday. More fear than harm for this couple who can therefore regain their journeys around the world.

Note that the couple has not yet communicated on their Tik-Tok account on this mishap.
