The Government Council approved, this Thursday, draft decree No. 2.23.1195 relating to the status of the body of scientific attachés at the Ministry of Health. According to a press release received by Hespressthis draft decree responds to the demands of medical assistants under the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. It aims to revalorize this category by changing their name to become “ scientific associates » and by improving their regulatory status, unchanged since 1993. This includes an increase in net salary with retroactive effect from January 1, 2023, divided into three tranches.
The decree also provides for the establishment of a special status for the body of scientific attachés within the ministry, by defining the missions entrusted to them, the conditions of their recruitment and their advancement, as well as a system of compensation for supervision and research in return for the work carried out.
The press release underlines that this serious and decisive approach is part of the efforts made by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to meet the expectations of this category, which constitutes an essential pillar within the components of the health body, taking into account given its contributions to the improvement of the national health system.
