The official handing over of the symbolic framework

On January 22, 2025, the president of the 1423rd section organized a day, with a lunch at the restaurant Le Saint Porquier, to celebrate the 90th birthday of his first vice-president, the same one who came to recruit him when he obtained the grant of the Military Medal, while he was in active service. For this, a good part of the current office, but also the honorary president Léon Pierre Michel Marie CAULAT was there. It must be said that between Léon and Claude it's a long story, they were at school together and they fought over the right to keep the stove. They never left each other except for professional reasons. We have to admit that these two little cuties have a real bond. Claude was vice-president of the section and standard bearer of the 1423rd section for more than 25 years and an active and responsive flag bearer. Sometimes more than 80 annual outings but with this career particularity in this function that he has never wet his flag. Sometimes the danger was close, he said with humor. The section gave him a special gift, a frame with a reproduction of the section flag inside. This present was given to him on the day of the general assembly so that the members could all see what had been purchased for this “Brave”. 90 years is not every day for the same, but January 22 was for Claude DELTHIL. In his speech, President Henry DESSAUX told him that he had certainly completed the longest period, but that he still had to go through the most complicated period, the ten years which lead to 100 years. An appointment has been made for January 22, 2035. Thank you all and especially a big thank you to Claude and his sidekick Léon.
