This Wednesday, January 22, around 7:30 a.m.an accident involving four vehicles took place on departmental road 740 in the south of the Deux-Sèvres department. The accident involved a heavy goods vehicle, a utility vehicle as well as two light vehicles, indicated Ouest-France.
When they arrived at the scene of the accident, the SMUR doctors noted the death of the driver of one of the two cars involved in this accident. Two other people were transported by Samu in absolute emergency and four in relative emergency.
Traffic completely stopped
Due to this tragedy, in order to allow emergency services to intervene in the best conditions, traffic was completely stopped on departmental road 740 for a good part of the morning.
-The police also went to the site to block traffic as well as to make the first findings as part of the investigation which must determine the exact circumstances in which this tragedy took place.
