It's already there 23e edition of Biography festival has Nimes (Gard). The theme chosen this year is “ Memories of adventurers».


The event takes place from Friday January 24 to Sunday January 26.

Very popular Presidents

This year, this literary event is under the co-chairmanship of two lover of letters. The first, Olivier Weber66, is a recognized travel writer and major war reporter.

The second, Jean-Christophe Rufin72, is a former neurologist. In the 1980s, he successively became President of Action Against Hunger then diplomat before devoting himself exclusively to writing. Since June 2008, he has been a permanent member of the French Academy.

Many meetings

A public meeting is planned with the former neurology specialist at 3:15 p.m., Friday January 24. Another is announced with Olivier Weber, the same day at 16h15. Both take place on the premises of the Nîmes theater .

Multiple debates and meetings with authors from various backgrounds are planned during these three consecutive days.

After exploring the theme of Childhood Memories last year, many French-speaking authors and guests present to the public their memories of travels and adventures all over the world.

A last minute cancellation

The former presenter of the show “Un livre, un jour” on 3 Olivier Barrotcancels his visit. As a result, the screening of the film “Noblesse oblige” scheduled for Sunday January 26 at 10:15 a.m. at the “le Sémaphore” cinema iscanceled.
