Four individuals linked to the conflict between criminal groups were arrested following a large police operation which also led to the seizure of a large quantity of drugs.
It was around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning that the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) arrested the three men and the woman aged 20 to 23.
They are accused of having engaged in drug trafficking and of being linked to violence between criminal groups.
One of them, a 22-year-old man, must appear Wednesday afternoon at the Quebec courthouse, while the others were released by summons.
-“In addition to the arrests, investigators carried out six searches on the territory of Quebec City, in the Haute-Ville, Sainte-Foy and Val‐Bélair sectors,” said Laurence Godbout, spokesperson for the police force.
In particular, they seized 1 kg of cocaine, 1 kg of crystal meth30,500 methamphetamine pills, $30,000 in Canadian money, a type weapon airsoft and various other narcotics.
The National Squad for the Repression of Organized Crime (ENRCO) Quebec, the Tactical Intervention Group and the Sûreté du Québec also got their hands dirty in this matter.
