The financial director of Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, suspected of money laundering, died: he was hit by a train in Nassogne

Train traffic was interrupted on Wednesday around 8:30 a.m. between Jemelle and Libramont (province of Luxembourg) following an accident between a train and a pedestrian that occurred near Nassogne. The person struck died. This is the financial director of the Municipality of Jemeppe-sur-Sambre.

The latter had been the subject of an investigation for drug trafficking since last Thursday. Municipal money was found at his Jemeppois home by investigators. He was being prosecuted, as the Namur prosecutor’s office indicated on Wednesday morning, for money laundering. Due to his death, the public action is terminated.
