And between a few comments on Airbnbs or double-file coaches, Christian Estrosi dropped a little bombshell: “Cruises that pollute, that dump their low-cost clientele who consume nothing but leave their waste behind, well I say it : these cruises have no place with us,” reports Nice Morning.
The vice-president of the Horizon party thus wanted to be “rid of cruise ships from July 1, 2025” and assured that he was working on issuing an order aimed at banning and “cancelling all cruises that can still be canceled” .
-With 5 million visitors in 2024, the city of Nice has become the second most visited city in France, behind Paris. According to its tourist office, more than 40% of its active population works directly or indirectly for this industry.
